Nutella is so yesterday. Now, it’s all about homemade hazelnut cream.
Take: Lindt dark chocolate, honey and cream and melt on very low heat. In the meantime, grate Piedmont hazelnuts until you have a creamy mixture. Mix the cream with the chocolate. In which proportion? Just try. Fill into jars and sprinkle with hazelnuts.
We ourselves or our friend, Erich Stekovics, make the jams. We get fully ripe apricots from the Kittsee indulging area and immediately process them. The taste is incomparable and apparently even better than from the Wachau valley.
The Leithaberg region with its special cherries is another indulging area. To stone cherries is a lot of work, but the jam is extraordinarily delicious.
The ‘Mieze Schindler’ strawberry is very delicate and cannot be transported when fully ripe. Therefore, Erich Stekovics himself processes these special, extraordinarily aromatic, dark strawberries.
